Adolescent Immunization Clinics

The DuPage County Health Department will be holding two adolescent immunization clinics on May 6 and June 3, 2010 from 3 p.m to 6 p.m. at the Central Public Health Center in Wheaton.  Meningococcal, Varicella, and Tdap immunizations will be available to adolescents age 11-18 regardless of their VFC-eligibility status for $15 each. FY11 Staffing Plan

At the regular Board of Education meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening, March 16, the administration will make staffing recommendations for the 2010-2011 school year.  In developing a staffing plan that meets the needs of our students and that conserves our resources, the following factors were considered:      

1.   maintain current class size targets K through 8    

2.   restructure special program areas to meet student needs while increasing efficiency    

3.   reduce personnel in non-certified supportive capacities to maintain classroom personnel needed based on enrollment

At the March 2nd Policy & Planning Meeting, the following dates were approved for the class of 2010:    

Friday, May 28 : Dinner Dance
Tuesday, June 1 : Great America Trip
Wednesday, June 2 :  Full-day attendance with afternoon promotion practice
Thursday, June 3   : Morning promotion practice
June 3:  7:00 p.m. Promotion Ceremony
