Maercker School, housing approximately 420 children in the third, fourth, and fifth grades, is located on the site of the original school in the district at Cass Avenue and 59th Street in Westmont.  The school has facilities that permit students to engage in instructional activities in music, art, social and emotional learning, and physical education as well as the 'core' curriculum that includes reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. 
Two well-equipped computer labs and an excellent library complement the educational program at the school.  Services for students with special needs include speech therapy, learning disabilities programs, English language learning, bi-lingual education, and specific targeted interventions.
