Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 4th, from 5 pm - 8:30 pm and Friday, February 5th, from 8 am to Noon. You may reserve your conference times in Family Access. The scheduler will remain open until 9am on Wednesday, February 3rd. If you have questions, feel free to contact the Westview office at 630-515-4830.
BOOK FAIR OPEN DURING CONFERENCES THURSDAY & FRIDAY
The Scholastic Book Fair will be here February 1-5 , including during conferences. Students are welcome to shop before school and ELA classes will be coming down before conferences. This year our goal is to sell $3,106 worth of books, which equals approximately 621 books and 111,780 minutes of reading! 50% of these sales go to buy new books for the library and classrooms.

CONGRATULATIONS TO NOAH & CHINMAY FOR BEING CHOSEN FOR THE ALL-ILLINOIS JUNIOR BAND
Recently, two of our band members participated in the Inaugural All-Illinois Junior Band at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign. Chinmay Amin, who sat first chair baritone, and Noah Islam on tuba represented Westview Hills in this amazing group, made up of 62 of the best middle school/junior high band students from all over the state. We are very proud of Chinmay and Noah for their hard work and talent that went into being selected and in participating in this most prestigious event.
WESTVIEW HILLS 2016 BOYS' ROTARY TOURNAMENT CHAMPS!!!
The Varsity Boys' Basketball jumped out to a hot start on Saturday, 1/9, in the Rotary Tournament Championship Game and never looked back! Behind a balanced scoring attack and stifling defense against a good Jefferson Jr. High team, the Wildcats were poised and ready and played their best overall game of the season to capture the title 50-34! SOMEONE YOU SHOULD KNOW...RISHABH RANGANATHAN
Rishabh is a 6th grade violinist at WHMS who traveled to India in December to perform concerts in traditional Indian music. Rishabh is dedicated to his music as well as preparing to study medicine.

INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING PROGRAM
Families can drop off used ink cartridges in a collection bin located in the Westview Office. The Earth Quest Club receives a yearly check for participation. Even though it is not a large check, we are helping reduce waste that ends up in landfills.
