    The Department of Teaching and Learning provides leadership and support to fulfill the district's mission of "providing exemplary learning experiences within a positive, safe and caring environment that support student academic and personal growth".

    Maercker District 60's curriculum is designed and developed in collaboration with teachers and adminstrators.  All curriculum aligns to the Illinois Learning Standards.  The district has established a balanced assessment plan which includes outcome, growth, and progress monitoring assessments.

    The Department of Teaching and Learning is committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of all students, including those who qualify for services as an English Learner, under Section 504, or the Individuals With Disabilities Act (IDEA).
