Let’s hear it for former Wildcat and 2024 high school graduate Melina Knickelbein who graduated from Lyons Township High School. She will be attending DePaul University to major in K-12 Physical Education with a minor in Health Education & Dance Endorsement. Her dream is to start a dance program at a high school where one doesn’t already exist.
She was a part of the graduation ceremony and took part in SIGNing (American Sign Language) the National Anthem after taking four years of ASL. She has also completed her sixteenth summer dance recital and enjoyed being a part of the Eurythmics Dance Company at LT. She has assisted and taught dance classes at the Dance Center of La Grange. Congratulations Melina and we are so excited that you want to pursue a career in education!

We love celebrating the Class of 2024, but we are also looking ahead to celebrating the Class of 2037. We can’t wait to start your educational journey! #d60learns

Here’s a beautiful story from the end of the year. When a student from Holmes shared on the bus that he had been struggling in math, the driver came prepared with extra support in the afternoon. This is so sweet and a great example of how we support each other! #d60learns
