The first ever Wildcat Day of Play at Holmes was a huge success!
Our Wildcats spent the day participating in a variety of stations, including board games, build It, creative play, academic games, and more. It was wonderful to watch our students take turns, collaborate, encourage one another, problem-solve, and simply enjoy learning and playing together. They did an amazing job!
A huge thank you to all of the families who donated items to help make this day possible. Your generous donations were put to great use and will continue to be used for indoor recess and future Wildcat Days of Play. We are so grateful for your partnership in making special experiences like this possible for our students!

Today was an active day of labs in the Science wing at Westview Hills! 6th graders are exploring how structure and function of a body supports its survival in an ecosystem with their frog dissection, really getting their hands dirty. 7th graders are taking their understanding of potential and kinetic energy to quantitative levels through data and representation, and 8th grade are taking their energy knowledge to a new level by planning an investigation in the chemical energy stored in different macromolecules (aka nutrients).

There’s one week left to apply to join board committees! The D60 Board of Education has established three standing committees to dive deeper into different district operational areas. These committees meet monthly and currently have board members and administrative team members on them. These committees serve in an advisory capacity to the full Board of Education.
